The Law Society’s Property Conference 2026 will bring together leading voices from across residential and commercial property to discuss the latest policy, legal and practice developments shaping the profession. Through expert-led mainstage panel sessions, you’ll gain practical insights into law reform, case law, digitisation and compliance. You’ll hear from those in practice and the Law Society’s policy team to exchange ideas and share your experiences.

This year’s conference is built on high-value sessions designed to help property practitioners balance reform and change and focus on what matters most in practice today.

Drawing on insight from the Law Society, policy colleagues and experienced practitioners from across the property community, our programme has been carefully curated to explore the key pressures facing residential and commercial practice – from the Renters’ Rights Act and wider legal reform, to evolving compliance obligations and the growing role of technology in day-to-day practice.

As well as several insightful plenary sessions, the conference will also offer several breakout sessions to encourage peer-led discussion and provide opportunities to share ideas and perspectives with fellow practitioners.

The programme will cover a wide range of important topics, including:

  • Legal reform, including the Renters’ Rights Act and abolition of upwards-only rent reviews
  • Law Society policy priorities and what property practitioners are telling the profession’s representative body
  • Digitisation and AI in property law, including its role in property and conveyancing workflows and how to bridge knowledge gaps with clients and colleagues
  • Recent residential and commercial property case law
  • AML and compliance obligations

Whether you are looking to stay informed on property law reform, ensure you’re meeting compliance standards, or better understand how innovation and regulation are shaping the future of property practice, this conference will equip you with the insight and knowledge you need.
