This seminar will provide practical insights to help you offer a better a service when crafting LPAs . Through practical examples, you’ll learn how to identify red flags what advice you should be giving to give to donors and attorneys.
We’ll explore:
- how to “sell” your services when making LPAs
- advice to give donors on choosing attorneys
- advice to give attorneys regarding gifting, loans and undervalued transactions
- what records to keep when making an LPA and how to deal with requests from the OPG
- letters of wishes versus preferences and instructions
- keeping records of LPAs made and your ongoing obligations
This seminar is ideal for anyone who makes LPAs and/or who advise attorneys and deputies. Please note that this is not a course on how to make LPAs.
