Fixed recoverable costs will be extended, following a two-year pilot.

The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) has confirmed that it will expand fixed recoverable costs. Following a consultation, the MoJ has generally accepted the recommendations made by Sir Rupert Jackson in 2017.

The MoJ will also expand fast track to include cases valued between £25,000 and £100,000 in damages.

The changes aim to increase certainty of costs that losing parties must pay and reduce the cost of litigation.
