Complimentary for Dispute Resolution Section members.

Registration closing date: 11.59pm on Monday 24 February 2025

Last year the Dispute Resolution Section brought a panel of leading experts together on this topic to consider the background to the changes, the impact of the changes and the prospect of future developments. This online event will look at the subsequent developments in this area and possible future changes, with a particular eye on recent case law, changes around disbursements, case management under the new regime, and the impact on clinical negligence work.

Fixed recoverable costs (FRCs), determined by the civil procedure rules, are specific amounts of legal costs that are recoverable by one party from another in certain circumstances in litigation. FRCs used to apply in most low-value personal injury cases, but from 1 October 2023 these have been extended to cover most civil cases valued up to £100,000.
