David Earnshaw on Juncker’s Commission

In the Competition Section’s first London seminar for 2015, David Earnshaw (President and Senior Adviser of Burson-Marsteller in Brussels) will offer his expert insights into Juncker’s Commission, its novel structure and priorities, as well as its interaction with the newly elected European Parliament. This seminar was first run as one of the Brussel’s Competition Section seminar but is being repeated due to local demand.

Speaker:
David Earnshaw is a leading policy, advocacy and communications expert in Brussels. He has worked with the Brussels office of the public affairs firm Burson Marsteller since 2003 and draws on more than 25 years’ experience advising on European policy and political communications, in both the private and public sectors. David taught at the College of Europe for ten years 2004-2014 and is widely published in academic literature on EU decision making (for example in the Journal of European Public Policy, the Journal of Common Market Studies, the Journal of Legislative Studies, etc.). Before joining Burson Marsteller, David worked at the European Parliament (1987-1993); headed up the Brussels office of SmithKline Beecham (1995-2001) until its merger with Glaxo Wellcome; and was head of the Brussels office of Oxfam International (2001-2002).
