Experts at the conference explored geopolitical issues, sustainability, AI, and merger remedies.
The Law Society Competition Conference took place on Wednesday 25 June 2025.
Curated with the support of the Competition Section’s Advisory Committee the programme for the day sought to cover a broad range of topics relevant to practitioners from across the profession. It opened with a keynote by Olivier Guersent on reforms to the EU Merger and Article 102 Guidelines, followed by sessions on merger remedies, abuse of dominance, and international enforcement cooperation. Attendees chose from breakout workshops covering cartel enforcement, national security investment controls, digital market regulation, and litigation trends. A second keynote by Professor Pinar Akman addressed antitrust remedies in big tech cases. The day concluded with closing remarks and networking opportunities.
The Law Society is particularly grateful to all those that contributed to its success, including all those that attended, our speakers, those that sponsored the event, and our Competition Section Advisory Committee who helped us to develop the programme.
For those that missed it, please find below some photos of the day.
