On Monday 13 November 2017, CMS will be hosting the Regional Conference for the Inter-Pacific Bar Association (the “IPBA”), in London.

The Regional Conference (which will be open to the public) is titled “Forces of Change: Modernisation and a Shifting International Landscape - English and Asian Perspectives on How Legal Systems Adapt”.  The keynote speaker will be Lord Justice Briggs, with a number of other speakers and panel members being lined up, including from international law firms, the commercial bar, arbitral institutions and the Law Society.

The IPBA is an international association of commercial lawyers who live in, or otherwise have a strong interest in, the Asia-Pacific Region. It was established in April 1991 at a Tokyo conference attended by more than 500 lawyers from countries within the Asia-Pacific Region. Since then, it has grown to a membership drawn from throughout the world with 1,500+ members from over 65 jurisdictions worldwide.

Jonathan Warne, Partner at CMS, is the UK Jurisdictional Council member for the IPBA.
