The Law Society of England and Wales, in collaboration with Euclid Law, is delighted to invite members of the UK-qualified legal community in Brussels to an evening reception at the Fondation Universitaire.
The Law Society, in collaboration with Euclid Law, is bringing together the UK qualified legal community in Brussels for an evening of insight and networking. The event will feature Judge Steven Verschuur of the General Court of the European Union, who will share reflections on recent General Court case law on merger control, including parallels and differences with the CMA’s approach. The event will be chaired by Sarah Long and will be followed by a drinks reception and networking.
Judge Verschuur practised as a lawyer in Belgium and the Netherlands for two decades before his appointment to the General Court in 2022, working across a range of areas of EU law including competition, State aid, trade, public procurement and restrictive measures.
The event also marks an opportunity for the Law Society to reconnect in person with the UK legal community in Brussels.
