The Law Society of England and Wales, in collaboration with Euclid Law, is delighted to invite members of the UK-qualified legal community in Brussels to an evening reception at the Fondation Universitaire.
The evening will open with remarks from Judge Steven Verschuur of the General Court of the European Union, who will share reflections drawn from his experience of European legal practice and the EU judicial system, and consider themes of particular interest to lawyers with links to the UK practising in Brussels and across Europe.
Judge Verschuur practised as a lawyer in Belgium and the Netherlands for two decades before his appointment to the General Court in 2022, working across a range of areas of EU law including competition, State aid, trade, public procurement and restrictive measures.
The event also marks an opportunity for the Law Society to reconnect in person with the UK legal community in Brussels. Following the opening remarks, guests are invited to join colleagues from across the Brussels legal community for drinks and informal networking.
