Webinar: UK Subsidy Regime – a practitioner perspective

subsidy-control-webinar

Hear from experts about the UK’s subsidy control regime.

On 4 January 2023, the UK’s new subsidy control regime came into force, implementing a new subsidy regulation framework designed for the post-Brexit era. It enables public authorities, including devolved administrations and local authorities, to give subsidies that are tailored to their local needs, and that drive economic growth while minimising distortion to UK competition and protecting our international obligations.

This event took place on 18 April 2023 and was an opportunity to hear a practitioner perspective on what the recent changes are to subsidy control law and how the new regime can be applied in practice.

Speakers:

  • Chair: Graeme Young, Partner, CMS

  • Jonathan Branton, Partner, Head of Government & Public Sector, DWF Law LLP

  • Alexander Rose, Partner Commercial and Competition , DWF Law LLP

This webinar was recorded on 18 April 2023.
