The JLD is very pleased to announce the results of the 2019 JLD essay competition.

Winner: Charlene Hamilton, trainee solicitor, Preston

Highly commended: Helen Broadbridge, trainee solicitor, London; Isaac Creighton, trainee solicitor, London

Commended: Amritpal Grewall, Jessica Mason, Julia De Oliveira, Oluwatobi Taiwo

Judging panel

The entries were judged by a panel consisting of:

  • David Greene: vice president, The Law Society
  • Chris Randall: chief executive, Mayo Wynne Baxter solicitor, and non-executive director of the SRA
