The JLD is very pleased to announce the results of the 2019 JLD essay competition.
“What’s in a name? Is the title of solicitor still relevant?”
Winner: Charlene Hamilton, trainee solicitor, Preston
Highly commended: Helen Broadbridge, trainee solicitor, London; Isaac Creighton, trainee solicitor, London
Commended: Amritpal Grewall, Jessica Mason, Julia De Oliveira, Oluwatobi Taiwo
The entries were judged by a panel consisting of:
- Charlotte Parkinson: Chair, Junior Lawyers Division
- David Greene: vice president, The Law Society
- Chris Randall: chief executive, Mayo Wynne Baxter solicitor, and non-executive director of the SRA
