The Law Society’s Civil Litigation Section is looking for two committed and enthusiastic solicitors to join their committee.

They aim to have a regionally diverse mix of committee members and welcome applications from those with experience of working in civil litigation and/or supporting civil litigators, including but not limited to:

  • Larger TLS forum
  • commercial litigation solicitors
  • those working in alternative dispute resolution
  • those with judicial experience
  • solicitor advocates
  • practice managers
  • those with experience of cross-border litigation and
  • those working in European law.

The Civil Litigation Section committee was established to promote best practice and address current issues and challenges facing civil and commercial lawyers. The Section focuses on the full range of civil and commercial litigation including, costs, drafting, technology, process, advocacy, and policy.

The Section is designed to provide guidance and support dealing with best practice and innovation, updates and news, analysis and events and policy information aimed at law firms, legal practices, sole practitioners, costs lawyers and advocates facing the unprecedented challenge of maintaining and maximising profitability in an increasingly competitive and economically strained market.

The committee supports the Section, shaping and supporting the Law Society’s strategy, programme and future.
