The SRA is introducing its new Standards and Regulations on 25 November 2019. The Principles will be reduced from the current ten to six with a move from rules-based guidance to a focus on ethics.

Less prescriptive rules can be challenging for compliance professionals as they will need to ensure everyone understands and interprets the new standards in the same way.

In this webinar on 4 June from 1pm to 2pm, our experts will discuss some of the ethical dilemmas that arise for solicitors and compliance professionals in light of the new SRA Standards.

This webinar will cover:

  • the extent of the changes
  • whether the new Principles provide an ethical code
  • how to apply the Principles: some dilemmas, and
  • dealing with breaches/misconduct.
