The Law Society and the American Bar Association have strengthened links though the recent renewal of a cooperation agreement between their international sections.
The three year agreement, signed by Law Society president Lucy Scott-Moncrieff and ABA International Section chair Bart Legum, covers joint projects, events and opportunities for members.
The ABA Section of International Law will be in London in October for their fall meeting. The Law Society is running a panel at the meeting called ‘Welcome to London: Options for Foreign Lawyers and Law Firms in the UK and Europe’. It will include presentations on the QLTS and how foreign law firms can establish an office in the UK.
