The Small Firms committee is the advisory body for the Law Society’s Small Firms Division. It is responsible for advising on existing and emerging Law Society activity and services for small firms and sole practitioners. We are now looking to appoint additional committee members.

Candidates must be able to articulate the distinct needs, support requirements and interests of members working in small firms, covering issues such as risk, regulation and compliance, business efficacy and innovation. Also, candidates must demonstrate an ability ability to contribute ideas and represent the views of small firm practitioners.

We aim to have a regionally diverse mix of committee members and with the following representative mix of members:

  • sole practitioners
  • members from firms with two - four partners
