The polls for Council elections have now opened in contested constituencies, including commercial property, where members will be invited to elect their Council representatives.

Polls remain open until Monday 27 September 2021. In constituencies with either one or zero confirmed candidates, there will be no vote.

An online ballot is being held to decide who will represent constituencies where seats are contested.

The contested constituencies are:

  • central government
  • Central London
  • childcare
  • commercial property
  • criminal prosecution services
  • ethnic minorities
  • Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire
  • junior lawyers
  • major corporate
  • south*
  • Yorkshire

(*This constituency covers the following postcodes: BH24-25, PO1-17 and PO30-40, SO, SP 10-11, RG21-29, GU14, GU30-35 and GU51-52).

How to vote

If you’re eligible to vote in any of these constituencies, you should receive a ballot from Civica via email.

You can then follow the instructions in the email to cast your vote by Monday 27 September.

If you’re not eligible to vote in any of these constituencies, you will not receive a ballot as there will not be an election you are eligible to take part in.
