In January 2021, the Law Society updated our guidance as the pandemic and the ongoing restrictions continue to cause uncertainty, not only for buyers and sellers but also for conveyancers.

The guidance applies to:

  • both England and Wales (but the UK government regulations and guidance relating to the re-opening of the market referred to apply only in England)
  • owner-occupied homes
  • second hand, rather than new-build, homes.
