On 13 July, Land Registry will introduce eDespatch for users of its online portal. When launched, if you send your applications in the post, you will receive the application results online in your PDF download area in the portal.

The only exception to the new system is for first registrations, which will continue to be returned by post.

Firms that are currently not signed up to the online portal will continue to receive their results in the post.

The changes to the online portal will allow you to choose whether to see all downloads for your organisation, new downloads or previously viewed downloads.

It will also enable you to filter your searches more effectively. You will be able to search by title number and customer reference.

If you would like to be notified when an application has been completed, you can set up an RSS feed which will notify you either through Microsoft Outlook or your internet browser.
