The Law Society is among key players in the home-moving process calling on the government to take action ahead of the stamp duty land tax (SDLT) holiday deadline on 31 March 2021.
In July, the Chancellor of the Exchequer announced temporary increases to the stamp duty land tax nil rate bands for residential property.
We’ve written to the government, asking it to make changes to:
- enable people to take advantage of the SDLT holiday, and
- reduce the burden on solicitors and others involved in the conveyancing process.
