HM Courts & Tribunal Services (HMCTS) has said recent changes to coronavirus (COVID-19) local lockdown levels will not directly impact its services.

Following the update to parliament on the government’s local action strategy and which areas in England will move into a local alert level of “high” from Saturday 17 October, HMCTS has said it can confirm that these changes have no direct impact on its services.

As all alert levels allow for essential work and essential travel to continue, the changes do not alter HMCTS’s overall operational approach or ways of working, and the work of its courts and tribunals will continue as before, in line with public health guidance.
