We’re looking to hear from our Welsh members if they have seen a rise in accountants moving into probate work.

The Welsh Government has established a Commission on Justice in Wales, chaired by Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd, the former Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales.

The Commission was set up to review the operation of the justice system in Wales and set a long-term vision for its future and is scheduled to report in 2019.

A theme emerging from initial discussions with stakeholders is a rise in accountants working in probate. We would like to hear from you to understand why clients may turn to accountants. So if you’ve noticed an increase in the number of accountants offering probate services in your region, please contact Mary.Mugerwa@lawsociety.org.uk by Wednesday 11 July.
