The Law Society has published a series of Q&As for UK lawyers in the European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland during and after the transition period
This guidance outlines:
- the current regime for UK lawyers providing legal services in the EU (on the basis of the Withdrawal Agreement) and Switzerland (under the Swiss Citizens’ Rights Agreement)
- the position after the end of transition
The guidance is based on the assumption that there will be no provisions on legal services in the EU-UK future partnership agreement.
Every lawyer’s position must be considered on a case-by-case basis and theguidance does not replace legal advice or a consultation on an individual basis with the relevant regulators.
