Each year, law students, trainee solicitors, pupil barristers and junior lawyers (current, prospective or in between stages) are invited to enter the Law Society’s annual Graham Turnbull essay competition.

The title of the 2019 essay is: “Has the rule of law been replaced by the rule of politics?”

The maximum word count for the essay is 2,000 words.

Essays must be submitted by 5pm on Monday 25 November to Sarah Richardson.

The winner of the competition will receive £500 cash from the Graham Turnbull Memorial Fund and will be announced at the lecture on 10 December at the Law Society.
