We are pleased to announce the question for the 2016 Horsfall Turner Essay Competition is:
‘What changes, if any, do you think should be made to UK competition legislation, and to the way it is enforced, in the event of a UK exit from both the European Union and the EEA?’
Competition aims and prizes
The Horsfall Turner essay prize is designed to encourage young lawyers to engage with competition and European law.
The entrants will be judged by the Competition Section Dinner sub-committee - all entrants identities will be removed before judging. The chosen winners will each:
- receive an invitation to the Competition Section Annual Dinner and Awards taking place on 1 December 2016 at the Law Society (all prize winners will be seated on the Competition Section Chair’s table, the same as the keynote speaker)
- receive their award from the keynote speaker on stage and
- receive either the first prize cheque of £1,000 or highly commended prize cheque for £250.
