The Law Society is deeply concerned by the murder of Mr Willie Kimani, a human rights lawyer who worked for the International Justice Mission and the Rights Promotion and Protection Centre.

We understand that their bodies were recovered seven days later, on 1 July 2016, on a river bank. According to a pathologist, Mr. Kimani’s body showed signs of torture, including injuries to his genitalia and blunt force trauma to the head.
