In their newest article, they point out some of the peculiarities of German contract law such as the requirement to present an original wet ink copy of a power of attorney (section 174 German Civil Code ), contracting with oneself (section 181 German Civil Code ), the required consent of spouse for certain transactions (section 1365 German Civil Code) or regulations in relation to Contradicting General Terms (AGB) that differ from most Common law jurisdictions.
