The CCBE is now accepting applications from volunteers for January until July 2017

The Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE) in cooperation with the Deutscher Anwalt Verein (DAV) continues its project ‘European Lawyers in Lesvos’ until July 2017.

During the last six months, 27 volunteers from ten European countries have come to Lesvos as part of the project. Together, they have helped 525 individuals from 31 different countries.

The team in Lesvos consists of lawyers from European countries based on a roster for short term missions (minimum three weeks). These lawyers work on a pro-bono-basis, though their expenses are covered.

Their role is to provide legal advice to migrants requiring international protection and send weekly reports on their activities.
