We are pleased to announce that the Law Society of England and Wales has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Slovak Bar Association. The agreement was signed at a meeting on the fringes of the American Bar Association Annual Conference in San Francisco. President Tomáš Borec and Vice President Ondrej Laciak of the Slovak Bar Association met with President Simon Davis and Mickaël Laurans, Head of International at the Law Society of England and Wales to sign the agreement.
The MoU will form the basis for advanced cooperation between our professions in England and Wales and Slovakia, including on matters of continuous professional development, information sharing and market access. Both organisations pledged to work together to develop links, share knowledge of professional ethics and best practice, facilitate access to their library resources, promote knowledge of their respective legal systems, and organise joint events and training. We look forward to working with our colleagues at the Slovak Bar Association.
