The Law Society’s International Department directly lobbies governments and bar associations on market access and practice rights. It also pursues market access for the profession through the formal global trade system through the UK government and the European Union which negotiates on behalf of its Member States bilaterally and at the World Trade Organisation.
We are creating a new Trade in Legal Services Working Party to help the Law Society develop policy positions on some of the key issues arising from ongoing trade negotiations between the EU and other states. The Working Party will report to our International Issues Committee and exist for two years, with approximately 4 meetings a year in London as well as ad hoc email and teleconferences to advise the Department.
To apply, send a covering letter and CV to email@example.com by 9 January.
If you have not heard from us within three weeks of the closing date you have been unsuccessful in your application.
