The Law Society has signed an open letter to the Chief Executive of Hong Kong on proposed changes to Hong Kong’s extradition laws.

The letter was co-signed by Amnesty International, Hong Kong Human Rights Monitor, Human Rights Watch, and more than 70 other NGOs.

The proposed changes would have the effect of ”enabling the handover of persons in the territory of Hong Kong, be they residents of Hong Kong, persons travelling to or working in Hong Kong, or persons merely in transit, as well as materials carried by them or in their possession.”

The full letter is available to download read on the right hand side of this page.
