Join us for a free seminar in Leeds for practical tips and advice on how to mitigate risk as an in-house lawyer.
The role and approach of legal departments in identifying and managing risk is changing.
With an increasing focus on the value proposition of the legal team within organisations, legal departments are having to be more strategic risk managers, gauging risk appetite to balance managing risk with creating value.
In addition, an increased focus on compliance activities and new regulatory requirements has meant that legal teams are needing to analyse and report on risk in a structured way.
The seminar will:
- offer practical solutions and tools to help in-house lawyers make the transition from legal risk manager to strategic risk partner
- provide best practice guidance in reporting on risk
- offer insight into managing risk holistically at a sector or process level
- give tips on finding and creating value as an in-house department in protecting your organisation’s reputation
The seminar will be held at 16:45 on 31 January at Gateley plc, Minerva House, 29 East Parade, Leeds LS1 5PS. The session will be followed by a networking reception hosted by Paul Tennant, chief executive of the Law Society.
Registration for the seminar begins at 16:30. Places are free but must be booked in advance
