The Law Society is hosting a conference on 20 and 21 June to mark the centenary of women being admitted to practise law in the UK and celebrate the successes of women in law globally.

This two-day conference, organised by the Law Society, will bring together men and women from across the legal profession and other sectors to identify steps that are needed to achieve gender equality in the workplace, crucial to boost growth, innovation and productivity.

Understanding the barriers and creating real opportunities to address them in an action-orientated and collaborative way is required to bring about true equality for all within our profession.

Following the valuable insights gained from the Law Society’s extensive research on women in leadership in law, this conference will take stock of the current position of women in the profession globally and provide attendees with practical tools for empowerment and overcoming obstacles.

We will then invite participants to join a world-wide network of change makers working together for the benefit of our legal community.

The conference will include a mix of keynote speeches, panel sessions and practical workshops, led by a host of expert speakers and facilitators.

The Law Society is delighted to offer all junior lawyers (LPC paralegals, trainees and solicitors with zero- to five-years’ PQE) a £250 discount by using code JLD100 when registering (£95 + VAT = £114).

There are also a limited number of places are available to full-time students at the reduced rate of £50 +VAT = £60. Use code Student50 at checkout.
