This exciting event for second year trainees aims to cover all aspects of preparing for qualification.

The event will provide an opportunity for trainee solicitors, nearing the end of their traineeship to learn about the qualification process. Areas covered include:

  • Support available through the Law Society Junior Lawyers’ Division (JLD), hear from its Chair, Adele Edwin-Lamerton.
  • Options available as your traineeship nears an end, tips provided by Husnara Begum, career strategist and coach.
  • Insight in to the newly qualified (NQ) job market, along with CV tips provided by Ken Okumura from Robert Walters, a leading international recruitment firm.
  • An opportunity to put your questions to a panel of inspirational speakers, the majority of whom are former lawyers, all with considerable experience of moving newly qualified solicitors between employers.

  • Learn how to successfully navigate either the internal qualification process or the external newly qualified market.
  • Hear tips for marketing yourself both internally and externally.
  • Discover the options available to you if you do not secure an internal newly qualified position.
