Incidents of Data Subject Access Requests (DSAR) have increased by up to 98% in London and of the increase, approximately half are coming from ‘internal’ sources.
In many situations the average number of documents that had to be provided to the Data Subject was 4,000 and the number of hours ‘lost’ by senior staff at legal practices in tackling the DSAR was 48 (equivalent to approximately £15,000.00 in otherwise billable time).
This webinar illustrates the ways in which DSARs are being received by legal practices, best practice for dealing with them and the sort of preparations that all legal practices should have in place to manage them.
What will the webinar cover?
This webinar will cover:
- a description of the nature of the risks and impact posed by DSARs in the ‘real world’
- case studies of DSARs that have affected legal practices, from receipt to response
- several key processes, described in plain English, intended to substantially reduce the risk and to ease some of the burden
