The implementation for the new electronic bill of costs has been delayed until April 2018, following the most recent meeting of the Civil Procedure Rule Committee.
The new bill was due to roll out in October this year, but implementation has been delayed to ensure that risks are mitigated. This new format is due to apply to costs incurred after the start date, and will be a transition away from paper bills.
Members, and in particular civil litigators, should be aware of this upcoming change, as it will present a significant change of practice in terms of recording time. We will keep you updated on this matter when necessary.
