On 19 July 2020, the government announced plans to open ‘Nightingale Courts’ to help the justice system recover from the impact of coronavirus (COVID-19) .
Across England and Wales, the additional venues will hear civil, family and tribunals work as well as non-custodial crime cases.
The Law Society has created an interactive map showing:
- the location of open, and proposed, Nightingale courts
- the type of work being heard in each venue.
So far, 10 sites have been confirmed and our map gives details on the two Nightingale courts which are currently up and running and will be updated as more temporary courts open.
