The Law Society organised a breakfast briefing about upcoming opportunities in Central Asia for UK law firms and businesses.

We were delighted that Charles Hendry MP, the Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy to Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan joined us to make closing remarks at the event.

A panel of lawyers and advisers with expertise in the region introduced a range of opportunities and provide practical insights into how to do business in Central Asia. Topics discussed included:

  • Current trade and investment opportunities across a range of sectors;
  • How to be on top of new opportunities and attract new clients;
  • How to understand the local regulatory frameworks;
  •  How to assess and mitigate risks when doing business in the region.
