The Law Society of England and Wales had a meeting with the China Law Society (CLS) on 7 November 2017. This is the second meeting we have held with the CLS since July 2017.

President Joe Egan and CLS Vice-President Zhang Mingqi talked about the future of our co-operation.

The Law Society discussed our aim to open up markets for our members in Chinese second tier cities. We also raised the rule of law and its relevance to economic development.

CLS invited the Law Society to support the UK-China Rule of Law Roundtable, a joint initiative between CLS and the Great Britain China Centre.
