The Law Society has expressed shock and sadness at the recent murder of former Law Association of Trinidad and Tobago president Dana Seetahal SC.

In a letter to the Law Association, former Law Society president Nicholas Fluck said ‘The Law Society of England and Wales strongly condemns threats to the legal profession for carrying out their professional duties. It is our strong belief that the independence of the justice system and the legal profession is integral to upholding the rule of law.’
