The historic environment is made of up more than just listed buildings and scheduled monuments, and there are different implications depending on the type of asset.
Some of those implications are more well-known than others, and there are common misconceptions.
This webinar will help broaden your understanding of what heritage assets are, the implications of designation and how to ensure pitfalls are avoided. Conservation areas are also something to be aware of when advising clients in property transactions, as they are afforded greater protection and development in these areas is generally restricted.
Broadcasting on Monday 15 April, from 12.30pm to 1.30pm, this webinar will cover:
Speaker : Beth Harries, solicitor, The Historic Buildings and Monuments Commission for England (Historic England)
Beth is a solicitor at Historic England, dealing with planning issues relating to the historic environment since 2008. She regularly deals with enforcement issues arising from unauthorised works to listed buildings and scheduled monuments and is currently involved in investigations which may lead to prosecutions.
