Speaker: Amanda Hardy QC, barrister, Old Square Tax Chambers, 15 Old Square.
Amanda studied law at King’s College London where she also completed her Masters in Tax. She writes the United Kingdom chapter of International Taxation of Trusts and is currently writing Pensions Taxation. Ms Hardy is Honorary Secretary of the Chancery Bar Association, Chair of the Chancery Bar Association Pro Bono Sub Committee, a member of the Revenue Bar Association and a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Tax Advisors. She was appointed a Bencher of Middle Temple in February 2017 and appointed as Queen’s Counsel in 2015. Legal 500 2016 says: she is a Leading Silk for both Private Client and Corporation Tax. Chambers and Partners 2016 says: ‘The ’very bright and able’ Amanda Hardy QC is ‘at the top of her game’ and praised as a ‘top-rate tax and trusts adviser with excellent interpersonal skills and a practical approach to complex matters.’
