Helen Chuter, LDD committee member, discusses her experiences at the LDD Conference.
What I noticed was a wonderful atmosphere where I saw a lot of professionals who were very willing to answer in line with other questions directed at them. I was fascinated to hear lots of hot topics like being positive upon needing to disclose and when and how to disclose.
The team working and the workshops were not only effective in the ways and what to know to and how to learn, but the Quest Coaching was effective as a tool kit to help people to be positive and do more with the process of applying for work and areas around in the legal field. The maps and visual prompts were good too.
Some of the groups had lots of valid points and extra contributions while some aired their frustrations around when and how to identify how to disclose and how to understand positive and impact.
I found the panel positive in answering a variety of questions and people willingly contributed and adopted into questions. Everyone was so proactive and positive about how and what to do and all the presentations by the speakers and panel members had so much detail, effort, and knowledge. It was clear a lot had gone into these presentations and I am so grateful and thankful to all concerned and to all who took part.
Thank you that I was a part of this wonderful event. I am so proud to have been a part of this. I look forward to continuing with my committee members, to help those who are with legal talent and need to learn and grow. I am so proud to know such clever people and be a part of LDD committee and membership, who are such an ever present and needed force, in the battle against bias and prejudice in the world and helping to adopt equality, inclusions and opportunity.
Well done all.
