Applications for the 2017-18 mentoring programme are now open

The Law Society of England and Wales has opened applications for its mentoring scheme to support career progression for solicitors from under-represented groups.

What’s needed from mentors and mentees?

The Society is asking members of the profession to make a 12-month commitment to meet each other about once a month, preferably face-to-face - there will be flexibility once you have established the mentoring relationship.
From mentors, the Society is looking for supportive people who are open to sharing their experience and ideas. They also want their mentees to be keen to learn and develop, and be receptive and open to ideas.
Full briefings and training to solicitors who are taking part in the programme will be provided.

The scheme is open to practising solicitors across England and Wales from all geographical and practice areas.

The deadline is 26 May 2017
