The JLD is very pleased to announce the results of the 2016 JLD essay competition.
The question was:
“How do you think Brexit will affect junior lawyers?”
Winner: Nicholas Cottrell, London
The entries were judged by a panel consisting of:
Chair of the JLD Bryan Scant says,“ There were some fantastic entries and it was a very difficult decision for the judges to make. The shortlisted articles all addressed the questions in many different ways, making very interesting reading for all those involved in the judging process. Congratulations to all the shortlisted authors, the calibre of writing was very high and they should all feel proud of themselves for their essays”.
Congratulations therefore to Nicholas Cottrell who won the top prize of £500, James Rhodes and Sophie Hatter highly commended, and to those who were commended – Christopher Stanton, Jessica Bryant, Lialah Harwood, Malgorzata Evans, Michael Zamecnik, Patrick Gordon, Pierre Welch and Thomas Doyle.
