This is an opportunity to hear the new vision for increasing the number of solicitors appointed to the judiciary direct from the President before his term of office draws to an end in July 2017. In addition Solicitor Judge HHJ Baucher will speak on the particular skills solicitors bring to sitting and the inside track to being appointed to the judiciary.
Proudly hosted by the Law Society’s Solicitor Judges Division and the Advocacy Section, this celebratory networking drinks evening is aimed at solicitor judges, solicitors working in the courts and those aspiring to join the judiciary. This networking opportunity will enable the Solicitor Judges to share their courtroom experiences and practical tips with their peers as well as how they make their role less stressful. Solicitor advocates who are usually opposite presiding judges will have the chance to network alongside them to discuss their approach to cases and the next stage of their careers.
This will be a unique opportunity to:
Solicitor judges, solicitors working in an advocacy capacity and aspiring solicitors to the judiciary.
