The JLD takes the issue of resilience and wellbeing in the legal profession, and in particular junior lawyers, seriously and has looked into this over the last couple of years, for example, articles, surveys, employer guidance, sources of help and assistance. Our resilience and wellbeing page offers guidance, along with other sources of help and support.  Although much of the focus is on junior lawyers, there is a great deal of information which is relevant to all members of the profession, particularly the articles and sources of help and advice.

Resilience and wellbeing - JLD guidance and support

We have a page dedicated to helplines and other sources of support and assistance for members of the profession. Although most of the services listed are for solicitors, there are some that also provide assistance to trainees and those who work in law firms and in-house legal departments.
