Roundtable discussion 'Written Constitutions – experiences and challenges' 4 May 2017

The European Circuit in co-operation with Middle Temple International Committee organises a roundtable discussion that draws on comparative experience of written constitutions, in particular those of Germany and Ireland.

The debate will consider whether now is the right time for the UK to have a written constitution.

  • Sir Jeffrey Jowell QC (Hon) Barrister, Blackstone Chambers;
  • Prof. Stefan Vogenauer, Max Planck Institute for European Legal History;
  • Eoin Carolan, Barrister (Ireland), Associate Professor, University College Dublin
