The population was just under 10 million in 2014 and the estimated total GDP for 2015 is USD 145.153 billion. Hungary is a member of the European Union, NATO, the OECD, the Visegrád Group, and the Schengen Area. Hungary is a civil law jurisdiction with 14,000 practising lawyers.
