On 7 December the Law Society hosted a reception to celebrate the successful completion of the 2017 ILFA Flagship Programme.
ILFA provides secondment opportunties for leading young lawyers from across Africa to gain experience in international legal practise, build their networks and receive advanced academic legal training.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Flagship programme. Sixteen young lawyers from 12 countries spent three months at law firms in London and Dubai.
The Law Society President Joe Egan welcomed guests, including the secondees and representatives of the host law firms, to the reception and presented the secondees with their certifcates for completing the programme.
ILFA secondee Misozi Hope Masengu gave a vote of thanks on behalf of the secondees. Anna Gardner, ILFA’s Executive Director, who is standing down this month after six years with ILFA, reflected on her time at the organisation and the success of the prorgamme.
