Join us for a seminar for an update on Brexit and Business and Human Rights
In order to discuss issues of importance to both jurisdictions, and to facilitate greater cooperation within the legal profession, the Law Society will hold a joint seminar with the Conseil national des barreaux (CNB), the French National Bar, in Paris.
Time: 13:30 - 18:30 (UTC+01:00)
Date: Wednesday, 10 May 2017
Venue : Conseil national des barreaux, 22 rue de Londres, 75009, PARIS
Two panels of experts will discuss the latest developments, challenges and opportunities in France and England and Wales on two different topics.
The first panel will discuss the impact of Brexit on the legal profession both in England and Wales, and in France. We will discuss practice rights issues and market access for lawyers and law firms, cooperation in civil justice, and also update the audience on our acitivites in relation to Brexit since the oucome of the referendum.
Business and Human Rights has long been on the agenda of both the CNB and the Law Society. We have discussed Business and Human Rights at our joint event in April 2016 in London. The second panel’s discussion will follow up from that analysis, discussing the state of play one year later.
The seminar will be followed by a networking drinks reception.
